The sixth session of the Saveetha Open Talk Series (SOTX) was conducted on 23rd September 2026 at 10:00 AM in the New Moot Court Hall. The session, titled “Innovate, Create, Transform: The Power of Technology and Entrepreneurship,” focused on the transformative role of technology and entrepreneurship in shaping innovative ideas, creating opportunities, and driving meaningful change in society. The talk was delivered by Mr. Ram Shankar Prabu N, 4th Year BBA LL.B.
The 4th Edition of Jus Lex – Trial Advocacy Competition was successfully conducted from 15th to 17th September 2026, bringing together 22 teams from law colleges across India for an intense and intellectually stimulating trial advocacy experience.

On 16th and 17th September 2026, a two-day Youth Parliament Event was organised by Saveetha School of Law under the coordination of Prof.Dr. Reshma Soman.N, with 10 students from various colleges in Chennai.

Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, organised a two-day “SPSS Workshop” on 15th and 16th September 2026. It was organised with the objective of providing participants with an introduction to statistical analysis and the application of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in academic research.

Such transformations are surely hard, but should work that achieves less be considered easy? Probably not..
So why do we give so much importance to hard work @Saveetha? Simple, our program is designed to maximise the efficiency of the student in his/ her short tenure at College. It is important for any student to put in their best to become the best they could become.
Problem solving is the bread and butter of law. We foster this skill by our extensive research based assignments that are focussed on empowering students with case law critiques, analytic skills that are of utmost importance for a successful lawyer to give his or her best ot the client. Research also enhances student knowledge and skill in accumulating, consolidating and interpreting exiting knowledge. further more it improves their ability to apply acquired knowledge into their moot problems.
Arguments need to be smart, sensible with a careful attention to the listeners body language. Saveetha school of law believes in training students with an acute sense of smart logical speech more than loud senseless babble. In this context we inculcate sense of humor into our competitions where the students needs to appear in control rather than get emotionally absorbed into the arguments losing their cool!
The Department of Intellectual Property Rights at Saveetha School of Law (SSL), SIMATS, Chennai, successfully organized a National Conference on "Gender Dimensions of Intellectual Property" on September 26th, 2026. Held at the New Moot Court Hall, the conference served as a vital interdisciplinary forum for academicians, legal experts, researchers, and students to analyze the complex intersection of gender equality and intellectual property (IP) systems.
